Ecotourism
http://www.bali-travelnews.com/

On Saturday (12 April) the Hindu devotees in Bali will be busy amassing their pets and cattle, embellishing them and then presenting some offerings to them. It indicates the celebration of the Tumpek Kandang day. This festivity, falling every 210 days denotes a regular ritual held by Hindu devotees in Bali as an appreciation of their cattle.
Not all Balinese people are vegetarians, in fact non-vegetarians are dominant. On that account, cattle become a vital economic resource for Balinese farmers. As an economic resource, animal husbandry becomes a very valuable treasure for them. And Balinese farmers, of course, will care for their cattle just as they care for their family members. Every 210 days (6 months in Balinese calendar) they will celebrate the Tumpek Kandang as a day of affection for their cattle. Then, when the right time comes they are sold to be slaughtered at Slaughterhouses spreading throughout Bali. To learn more about Tumpek Kandang festivity, kindly browse this edition.
Other than cultural activity as mentioned above, this April constitutes an appropriate month for visitors searching for and loving the nature. By and large, during April it’s rarely cloudy or raining. The sun habitually shines brightly and that’s why for you who love the ecotourism, this April is an excellent month as it’s not too hot. Have a nice holiday in Bali!
